Registration for Trojan Web Debates Closed, Info for Competitors/Judges

Registration for the Trojan Web Debates has now closed. Debates will begin on Monday, 10/17. Pairings for the first weeks’ debates will be released on the evening of Sunday, 10/16.  Please take note of the following:

Tournament Website
We have updated our website with information for judges and debaters, including a list of entered competitors and critics, a complete list of rules and frequently asked questions, and ballot and video submission forms.  Please be sure to read through the tournament rules and FAQs to ensure you are familiar with the format, schedule, and style of debates in this tournament.  All of the materials you will need for the tournament can be found in one central location: http://www.usctrojandebate.com/page/trojan-web-debates

Please bookmark this page for easy reference throughout the tournament.

Subscribing to Tournament Announcements
While tournament announcements will be sent to you via e-mail, we also recommend following announcements through social networks or RSS as a backup.  If you use Facebook, we ask that you “Like” the USC Trojan Debate Facebook page as an additional way to stay up to date on announcements from the tournament.  You can find our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/USCDebate.  If you use Twitter, you can “follow” @USCDebate (or access our profile at http://www.twitter.com/USCDebate).  If you use an RSS reader, you can easily subscribe to tournament announcements by subscribing to the following feed:  http://www.usctrojandebate.com/rss

Verify Your Ability to Watch YouTube Videos
We also recommend taking time now to ensure that you are able to watch (and record/upload video content if you wish to post video based post-round critiques) on YouTube.com without problems.  Please take the time now to ensure that your computer’s web browser and plugins such as Adobe Flash are functioning.

Additional annoucements will follow on Sunday evening with pairings and step-by-step instructions for submitting videos and ballots.  Please feel free to e-mail Jim Maritato at maritato@usc.edu if you have any questions.
