Ronald Reagan Great Communicator Debate Series Southwestern Regional Championship
Saturday October 13th, 2012
USC Trojan Debate is proud to be partnering with the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library to take part in a civics debate program to coincide with the 2012 Presidential election.
The debate series utilizes three stages of competition that begins with an open invitation to every high school and culminates with Regional Champions flown to the National Championship at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library to compete for thousands of dollars in scholarship funds. Our regional championship is open to any school champion in the Southwest.
The series is designed to align with the final debates of the 2012 presidential election; promote civic engagement; highlight the legacy of President Reagan as both “The Great Communicator” and a legendary presidential debater, and provide a showcase for many of the nation’s most promising high school communicators.
Schools can sign up for the program and become involved today!
